Since the founding of the Napa Valley Wine Library,a collection of books and other materials relating to wine, especially in Napa Valley, has been maintained by NVWLA (formed in part for this very purpose) for everyone's use at Saint Helena Public Library (SHPL).
Resources range from 1558 to Present Day and include the Professor Stephen Krebs Collection, interviews of local vintners by Ruth Reiser on behalf of UC Berkeley Library, and two astonishing collections of wine labels from Burt Wuttken and Professor Harold Dailey as well as images, wine lists, maps, and vintners' day books.
To support the acquisition and care of these materials please consider a donation to the NVWL Collection Fund.
SHPL's annual book sale has been discontinued; wine-related books may be found by author among books for sale year-round on shelves adjacent to the circulation desk.
Please be in touch with Cecilia Raffo at SHPL with any book donation questions: cecilia@shpl.org or 707-302-2411
